With the N series still ruling the upper end of the mobile market, Nokia N78 comes as no surprise to any of us. It is a typical N series phone, with emphasis on multimedia and looks. Being just slightly thinner and lighter at 3.6 ounces, it fits easily into pockets. It’s smart, comfortable and modern with the addition of a Geo-Tagging tool and GPS navigation. It also offers Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
The Nokia N78 has a simple display which looks difficult at first but works easily, and is simple soon after. It has a Carl Zeiss lens with a 3.2 megapixel camera, but still produces hazy picture quality. The camera records videos at 30 clips per second which can be directly uploaded to the internet. The navigation is essentially simple with an auto scroll option that is touch-sensitive. It boasts of an inbuilt music player, with almost 70MB of internal memory and the microSD expansion slot which can take the external memory to 8 GB. It offers many call options including video conferencing. The quality of the calls is not very good and disappoints.
Overall, Nokia N78 is an exciting option for a multimedia phone but is expensive. It makes up for the price with its impressive calling features. The camera quality is not up to the mark and the phone tends to be stiff and difficult to use. The battery is of 1,200mAh and has 4.3 hours of talk time and up to 13 days of standby time.
