LG DARE has a new touch screen interface with a good call quality and overall performance. The design is dominated with a large display on the phone’s front surface. The phone measures 4.1 inches long, 2.2 inches wide and 0.5 inches thick. It weighs 3.76 ounces and gives a solid feel even when it’s lightweight. It has a 3 inch wide display which supports 262,000 colors and 240×400 pixel resolution. You can adjust the backlight time, dial fonts and display theme. You can also choose animated wallpaper.
The graphical layout of the favorites menu is quite impressive. You can edit all the contact information after selecting a contact. It has a scattered menu interface layout. The dialing keypad buttons and other texting buttons are soft to touch and easy to use. The keypad numbers are big in size. There are few shortcut icons to use the speakerphones, Bluetooth headset, and voice record, add a note, text message, call mute etc.
The phonebook can hold up to 1000 contact entries and in each room you can enter five numbers and two email address. You can even assign a particular group or a number with a ringtone. Other features include the vibrate mode, calculator, a tip calculator, an alarm clock, world clock, a notepad, a stopwatch etc.
It has a decent 3.2 megapixel camera with supports five resolutions and takes excellent quality photos. Overall, it is a good handset to be gifted to a friend.
